Some of the pros of having social media in the workplace would having a closer connection to the consumer and notifying them about any changes or new products that may have come out. Using social media in the workplace could make the company seem very modern and up to date making it more attractive to consumers or younger generations. It can also have some good break from all the work and just relax with logging into a social networking site to increase productivity. Using social media is not just for getting a company a good name but it can also be something employees can do while they are on their break and just blow off some steam with getting on a social media in the work place for a couple of minutes. Another thing would be that it would help getting any feedback on concerns that the consumers may have. There are many upsides to having social media in the workplace, ideas are limitless as having a good name for the company that. Now that there are many people using the Internet so that the company has a wider audience to get their things across. http://blog.mavenlink.com/the-pros-and-mostly-cons-of-social-media-in-the-workplace-2/
The cons of having Social Media in the workplace is that it makes it easier for people to give the company viruses or go into their system and leak information. Since much of the users are in the younger generation then it is less likely that a company that is targeted towards older people should use social media. Most of the older generation prefer to go do any shopping online rather than surfing the web which make things stretchy because they do not know how well the product will work rather than in person. Social media can also hurt the company if there are negative comments going around which could make a dent in their sells. Also other big factors to weigh in are that it does loss the company productivity. There is also concern of people sharing information within the company to other people. There are also some legal troubles that a company could get into if their employees post something offensive of inappropriate. This could cost the company their reputation, millions of dollars or even both. Therefore, it is a major concern to let worker use social media in the workplace that is why so little of the companies let social media usage for safety of their company.
Summary
What I have found through research was that there is a lot of things to take into account. There are many pros as well as cons, but there should be moderation in how companies that would like. The company should have someone specifically who is in charge of just social media in the workplace but not for leisure, strictly for work. If a costumer is asking a question then the person in charge will respond to any comments of concerns that they may have. Companies do have reason to block social media on company devices because it does slow down broadband and loss of productivity. There is moderation to all of this and with the right restrictions and rules the company could be one that sky rockets with success with social media in the workplace.

Social Media Consultation
The business of Chipotle is a restaurant chain that specifies in Mexican grill food. This chain of restaurant opened in 1993. They do not declare themselves as a fast food chain. They stick strictly to fresh, high quality ingredients. Chipotle is in the social media network where they are able to put out more of their high quality recipes. The social media that is widely used by chipotle is Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, and Instagram.
The way that Chipotle uses these form of media is by getting connected to their clients and see what kind of food do they like and see their reactions to them. The way that this business uses Youtube is great. Their proposition on Youtube is that they post high quality commercials about the awareness of packaged food that is filled with hormones and other artificial products that is only harming the society. Their commercials are based upon creating awareness of eating healthier food and to trust Chipotle since they are claiming in their advertisements that they use fresh ingredients. Not only is Chipotle gaining more fame for their advertisements, but they will progress into being able to communicate more with their clients through other social media in the future.
Chipotle advertise that they are all natural compared to all the other hormone using fast food restaurants. In their advertisement the text is that they are the healthier alternative than many other restaurants. They also explain in the first link of the Youtube commercial that Buck Marshall explains what they really do to the animals, claiming that this Chipotle commercial is a misconception. The subtext as well as the text makes it clear that this restaurant is the best and that the customers will be satisfied. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KmtIHyCpf4
Based on Chipotle Mexican Grill's phenomenal growth rate, investors have to be wondering what they're putting in those burritos. The answer is a lot of fresh ingredients, which are mixed together right in front of patrons' eyes. Like Starbucks and Foods, chipotle is capitalizing on consumers' desire for higher-quality food and rightly understands that consumers are willing to pay more for healthier products. Also people are also advertising for Chipotle through Vines and making it desirable for potential consumers for example the link above.

While Luis is finding companies that are using Social media to better strengthen their relation ships with the consumer or could be headed for the worst.
2. The information that I will be presenting would be the pro and cons about having social media in the Workplace. I have searched three sites for both the pros and cons. Some of the sites that I have used was used with the help of Google engine. These sources that I found I will put in context how Social Media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc have influenced businesses in being able to communicate with their clients. Once we have collected all the data we would most likely put it on a Google slide and then present the information there. Each of my group members will put their part on the Google slides and will present their part to the class.
