Group Project Report #2

1. My group will be talking about Social Media in the Workplace. Orlando will explain how there was no social media before in the workplace and how it has drastically changed now with more technology being used to get the word around of a company or of a new product that the workplace has come up with. While Luis is finding companies that are using Social media to better strengthen their relation ships with the consumer or could be headed for the worst. 
2. The information that I will be presenting would be the pro and cons about having social media in the Workplace. I have searched three sites for both the pros and cons. Some of the sites that I have used was used with the help of Google engine. These sources that I found I will put in context how Social Media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc have influenced businesses in being able to communicate with their clients. Once we have collected all the data we would most likely put it on a Google slide and then present the information there. Each of my group members will put their part on the Google slides and will present their part to the class.

This website explains how social media or social networking in the workplace has had some decreases in productivity with side conversations and accident leaks of important information or a product that the public or their competition was not intended for seeing. These are some of the things that I have found that have been some downsides to using social media in the workplace.

Some of the pros of using social media in the workplace is that since a lot of the people are on social media then it is easier to sell a product and get the name of your company out there. It is also an inexpensive way for advertisement.
